There's nothing quite like the comforting aroma of warm apples and cinnamon baking in the oven. These Mini Apple Crumbles are the perfect cozy treat—crispy on top, soft and spiced in the center, and bursting with homemade goodness. Whether you're serving them at a dinner party or enjoying one with your afternoon tea, they’re guaranteed to warm your heart and delight your taste buds 🍎🍂🧁.
Ingredients:
For the crumble dough:
140g all-purpose flour
115g brown sugar
100g butter
For the apples:
6 small apples
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Juice of half a lemon
Preparation method:
Start by preparing the crumble dough: in a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and cold butter cut into small cubes. Rub the mixture between your fingertips until it forms a crumbly, sandy texture. Once the crumble is ready, cover and place it in the refrigerator while preparing the apples.
Peel and core the apples, then cut them into small cubes. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and the juice of half a lemon. Let them simmer for a few minutes until they soften slightly and absorb the flavors.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Divide the apple mixture evenly into small ramekins, then top generously with the chilled crumble dough.
Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until the tops are golden and crispy.
Let cool slightly before serving. These mini apple crumbles are perfect on their own or paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream 🍨.
