Moroccan Spiced Carrot Appetizer

Ingredients:

  • 4 Carrots 
  • 1 or 2 Garlic 
  • Salt 
  • Cumin 
  • Paprika 
  • Lemon juice 
  • Olive oil 
  • Black olives
Preparation method:

Start by thoroughly washing and peeling the carrots, then cut them into small cubes or round slices, depending on your preference. Place them in a pot of boiling salted water and let them cook until they become tender. Once cooked, drain them well and transfer them to a bowl.

In a pan, drizzle some olive oil and add the carrots along with grated garlic. Stir in the spices and lemon juice, then sauté over medium heat, mixing well. Using a fork, slightly mash the carrots while continuing to cook them so they absorb all the flavors.

Add some black olives for decoration and let it simmer for a few more moments before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature as a starter or side dish.
