Creamy Chicken & Veggie Batbout Filling

Imagine biting into a soft, warm batbout filled with a rich, creamy, and flavorful chicken mixture. This delicious stuffing combines tender chicken, sautéed onions, grated carrots, and zucchini, all infused with aromatic spices and a touch of soy sauce. Ingredients:

  • 200g chicken breast
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 1 grated zucchini
  • Pickles, sliced into small rounds
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Paprika (smoked, optional)
  • Ginger
  • Smoked spices (optional)
  • Garlic powder
Preparation method:

In a pan, pour a drizzle of oil and heat it over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and let it cook gently until it becomes translucent and slightly golden. Then, add the chicken breast cut into small cubes and sauté, stirring regularly, until it is nicely browned on all sides.

Next, add the grated zucchini and grated carrot, then mix well to combine them with the chicken. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, ginger, garlic powder, and optionally, smoked spices for extra flavor. Pour in the soy sauce and stir thoroughly to ensure the flavors are evenly distributed. Let it cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and the chicken is well infused with the spices.

Once the filling is well cooked, place the cheese slices over the hot mixture and allow them to melt before stirring everything together to achieve a creamy and smooth texture. Finally, add the sliced pickles and give it one last mix to evenly incorporate all the ingredients.

To assemble the mini batbouts, gently open them and place a lettuce leaf inside before filling them with the warm, creamy mixture. Serve immediately and enjoy these delicious, flavorful, and tender stuffed batbouts.
