Creamy Chicken Tortilla Cones

Ingredients:

  • 250g chicken breast
  • 1 onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 100ml cooking cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika
  • Ginger powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Grated cheese
Preparation method:

Start by preparing the cones. Take small or medium-sized tortillas and cut them in half to form semi-circles. Take one half and gently roll it to form a cone, ensuring the tip is tightly sealed. Use a bit of water or diluted flour paste to secure the edge. Place the cones on a baking tray or use cone molds to hold their shape. Lightly heat them in the oven at a low temperature until firm, then set them aside to cool.

Meanwhile, prepare the filling. In a heated skillet, add a drizzle of olive oil and sauté the finely chopped onion until it turns translucent. Add the diced red and yellow bell peppers and cook them for a few minutes until slightly tender.

Next, add the chicken, cut into small pieces, and cook while stirring frequently. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, ginger, and garlic powder. Once the chicken is fully cooked and slightly golden, reduce the heat. Stir in the cooking cream and part of the shredded cheese, mixing well to create a creamy texture. Let it simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors.

Fill each tortilla cone with the creamy chicken mixture using a spoon. Arrange the filled cones in a long oven-safe dish, positioning them securely to prevent tipping. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top of the cones.

Place the dish in a preheated oven and bake for a few minutes at medium heat, just until the cheese melts and becomes slightly golden. Remove from the oven and serve immediately while still hot to enjoy the full creaminess of these chicken-filled tortilla cones.
