Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 2 eggs
- 7 tbsp sugar
- 7 tbsp milk
- 7 tbsp oil
- 7 tbsp flour
- 14g baking powder
- Vanilla extract
For the Ganache:
- 150g milk chocolate
- 100ml heavy cream
For Decoration:
- 200g milk chocolate
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar until the mixture becomes light and frothy. Add the milk, oil, and vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition. Sift in the flour and baking powder, then stir until smooth and combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared tray, spreading it evenly. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely before moving on to the next step.
Meanwhile, prepare the ganache. Melt the milk chocolate with the heavy cream in a heatproof bowl over a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring until smooth and glossy. Let the ganache cool slightly so it thickens a bit.
Once the cake has cooled, cut it into two equal halves. Spread the ganache over one half, then place the second half on top, pressing gently to sandwich them together. Place the cake in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to allow the ganache to set.
Remove the cake from the refrigerator and cut it into about 12 individual portions. Melt the 200g of milk chocolate for decoration, then coat each portion with the melted chocolate. Allow the chocolate to harden before serving.
