Ingredients:
- Wrap bread (tortilla)
- Mayonnaise (homemade, see below)
- Fresh lettuce leaves
- Canned tuna (in water or oil, drained)
- Finely sliced onion
- Thinly sliced apple
- Tomato slices
- Pickles (sliced)
- Grated cheese (of your choice)
For the homemade mayonnaise:
- 1 whole egg
- 200 ml of oil
- 1 teaspoon of mustard
- Lemon juice
- Garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
Preparation method:
To prepare the homemade mayonnaise, whisk together the whole egg, mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Gradually add the oil while whisking continuously until you achieve a creamy consistency. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix the drained tuna with a generous portion of homemade mayonnaise until well combined. Take a wrap and spread a thin layer of mayonnaise over the entire surface. Add the tuna-mayo mixture to the center of the wrap. Arrange the thinly sliced apple, followed by the tomato slices. Then, add the onions that have been lightly sautéed in a bit of oil until golden and tender. Next, add the pickle slices, sprinkle generously with grated cheese, and finish with a few fresh lettuce leaves for added crunch. Carefully fold the wrap tightly to keep it closed.
