Crispy Beef & Potato Croquettes

Ingredients:

  • 2 large potatoes
  • 200g ground beef
  • Onion
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika
  • Ginger
  • Cumin
  • Garlic powder
  • Grated cheese

For frying:

  • Breadcrumbs
  • Egg
  • Flour
Preparation method:

To prepare these beef and potato croquettes, start by peeling the potatoes and cutting them into large chunks. Boil them in salted water until tender, then drain and mash them. Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and sauté it in a pan with a little oil until translucent. Add the ground beef and cook over medium heat, breaking the meat apart with a spatula. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, ginger, cumin, and garlic powder, then cook until the beef is well browned.

Mix the cooked beef with the mashed potatoes and add the grated cheese. Shape the mixture into small balls or croquettes. Coat each croquette by rolling it first in flour, then in beaten egg, and finally in breadcrumbs.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the croquettes until they are golden and crispy on all sides. Once done, place them on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
