Ingredients:- 500g white fish
- 3 onions
- 3 garlic cloves
- 140g butter
- 140g flour
- 200ml milk (or less, depending on the mixture)
- Salt and pepper
- Nutmeg
For the coating:
- 2 eggs
- Breadcrumbs
Once the fish is cooked and crumbled, incorporate the flour, mixing well to ensure it's evenly combined. Gradually add the milk, continuing to stir, until you get a smooth dough-like consistency. Be careful not to add too much milk to keep the mixture from becoming too liquid. Remove from the heat and let the mixture cool in the refrigerator for about half an hour.
Once the mixture has cooled, shape it into small sticks. Dip them into the beaten eggs, then coat them with breadcrumbs. Let them rest in the refrigerator for a few minutes before frying them in hot oil. Serve with a nice mayonnaise. Enjoy!
