Natural Flan

Savor the smooth and creamy goodness of our Flan Naturel, a classic dessert that's as elegant as it is easy to make.

Ingredients:
  • 1L of milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 160g of sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Decoration:

  • Caramel: 50g of sugar + 1 tablespoon of water

Preparation Method: 

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolk, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Gradually pour in the milk while continuing to whisk until well combined.

For the caramel:
In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Allow the water to evenly distribute over the sugar. Then, heat the mixture over medium heat. After a few minutes, it will turn golden.

Once the caramel is ready, carefully pour it into a mold, then add your flan mixture on top. Place the mold into a larger oven-safe dish, and pour hot water into the dish until it reaches about halfway up the sides of the mold. Carefully place the entire setup into the oven and bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Note: To check if the flan is fully cooked, gently insert a knife into the mixture. If it comes out clean, your flan is ready.
