- 1L of milk
- 6 eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 160g of sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
Decoration:
- Caramel: 50g of sugar + 1 tablespoon of water
Preparation Method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolk, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Gradually pour in the milk while continuing to whisk until well combined.
Once the caramel is ready, carefully pour it into a mold, then add your flan mixture on top. Place the mold into a larger oven-safe dish, and pour hot water into the dish until it reaches about halfway up the sides of the mold. Carefully place the entire setup into the oven and bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
